**Job Brief
**
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring an Injection Molding Tooling Technician for our client. This role is responsible for repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting plastic injection molds to ensure maximum production uptime and product quality.
**What’s a Typical Day Like?
**
Perform injection mold tooling repairs and preventative maintenance
Work independently as the internal tooling department for molding
Repair and/or make parts to conform to the latest mold prints / 2D data
Perform additional work such as basic heat treating, MIG/TIG welding, precision hand fitting, miscellaneous bench work, and repair of water/oil leaks
Maintain all records and logs as required per site; report and order low-stock inventory to the Tooling Supervisor
Troubleshoot complex tooling issues that directly impact production uptime and part quality
Work with high-precision plastic injection molds, including multi-cavity and cosmetic automotive components
Handle tight-tolerance tooling that requires strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Work in a fast-paced production environment where your technical decisions matter
Accomplish other duties as assigned
**What Are the Requirements of the Job?
**
High school diploma / GED
4+ years of experience troubleshooting injection molding tooling in a production environment
4+ years of experience repairing and maintaining plastic injection molding tooling
Experience working with tooling that produces cosmetic automotive parts
Preferably experience with CNC machining or programming using Mastercam
Basic mold design knowledge
Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Communication skills.
