Pay & Schedule

• $70,000–$75,000/year(based on experience)
• 1st Shift (Day Shift)– Occasional extended hours as needed

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilledInjection Molding Set-Up Technician / Supervisorto support amedical and general manufacturing environment. This hands-on role combinesinjection molding setup, process optimization, troubleshooting, and floor leadershipacross a 4–5 press operation. Ideal candidates have experience inplastic injection molding, process control, and medical manufacturing (ISO 13485).

Key Responsibilities

Injection Molding Set-Up & Processing

• Performmold changes, setups, startups, and teardowns
• Set and optimizeinjection molding process parameterswithin approved process windows
• Troubleshoot molding defects includingflash, short shots, sinks, warpage, burns, and cosmetic defects
• Ensure proper setup ofmolds, resins, dryers, robots, and auxiliary equipment
• Supportfirst article inspections (FAI)and process verification activities
• Maintainsetup sheets, process documentation, and work instructions
• Assist withmold maintenance and preventative maintenance coordination

Medical & Quality Responsibilities

• Operate withinISO 13485and regulated manufacturing standards
• Ensure adherence tovalidated molding processes and documentation
• Supportnonconformance investigations and corrective actions (CAPA)
• Reinforcecleanroom practices, housekeeping, and contamination control

Supervisory & Floor Leadership

• Provide dailytechnical leadership and directionto molding operators
• Train team members onsetup, startup, shutdown, and quality procedures
• Balancestaffing and machine assignmentsacross 4–5 injection molding presses
• Reinforcesafety standards and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Communicateproduction priorities, shift handoffs, and technical issues

Qualifications

Required

• 2+ years of injection molding setup and processing experience
• Strong knowledge ofinjection molding processes and defect troubleshooting
• Experience in precision molding environments
• Ability to lead throughtechnical expertise and hands-on support
• Comfortable working independently in asmall team environment

Preferred

• Previouslead technician or supervisory experience
• Experience withautomation, robotics, or molding automation systems
• Familiarity withISO 13485 documentation and compliance requirements
