The Injection Molding Maintenance Technician III is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plastic injection molding equipment to ensure safe and efficient production operations. This role supports manufacturing by minimizing downtime, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining optimal machine performance.
Perform repair and preventative maintenance on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and implement corrective actions
Independently troubleshoot equipment problems with minimal supervision
Execute scheduled preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime
Document maintenance activities and completed work orders in maintenance systems
Support mold changes, equipment startups, and production readiness
Work with vendors or contractors to source replacement parts when needed
Follow safety procedures, maintenance standards, and departmental policies
Maintain clean and organized work areas
5+ years maintenance experience in injection molding or high volume manufacturing
Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems
Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and automated production equipment
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation
Experience using CMMS or maintenance tracking software preferred
Ability to work independently in a fast paced production environment
Automotive or plastics manufacturing environment
Robotics or automated molding systems exposure
Preventative maintenance program experience
