Full Description
The Tool Maker is responsible for building, maintaining, repairing, and modifying injection molds to ensure optimal production performance and part quality. This role involves precision machining, troubleshooting mold issues, and supporting continuous improvement in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Build, repair, and maintain injection molds, dies, and tooling
Troubleshoot mold-related issues affecting quality or cycle time
Perform preventive maintenance on molds and tooling
Use CNC and manual machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders, EDM)
Collaborate with engineering and production teams on tooling improvements
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Qualifications:
Experience as a Tool Maker in an injection molding environment
Strong knowledge of mold construction, maintenance, and repair
Proficiency with precision measurement tools
Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
