Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Mechanic to support production by ensuring all molding machines and related equipment are operating safely and efficiently. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and completing repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of molding machines and support equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues to restore equipment functionality.
- Modify and adjust machine systems and circuits to meet production requirements.
- Identify and repair hydraulic leaks and other mechanical failures.
- Disassemble, repair, rebuild, and reassemble equipment as needed, ensuring proper operation.
- Install and remove molds based on work orders and production schedules.
- Clean and maintain machine components, including screws, nozzles, tie bars, and related areas.
- Inspect equipment regularly to identify defects and prevent breakdowns.
- Perform emergency maintenance and respond quickly to equipment failures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service activities.
- Order parts and maintain spare parts inventory to support ongoing operations.
- Work collaboratively with other team members on larger repair tasks.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and improve machine performance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or injection molding environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical schematics.
- Understanding of injection molding machine components and functions.
- Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with pressure adjustments, valves, and pump systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
