Information Systems Technician
Job Type Full-time Description Job Summary:
Implement new and maintain existing Information Systems hardware, software, and other technology, while providing end user support in a business office and electronics manufacturing environment.
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, servers, PCs, printers, projectors, monitors and software.
Provide limited network and server administration functions.
Setup users, file shares and implement user and group security policies.
Perform system backup tasks.
Some email administration.
Troubleshoot, repair, and resolve: printer, telephone, PC, server, and other systems.
IT support for manufacturing environment (PC's that run machines).
Employee lifecycle IT tasks associated with onboarding and offboarding.
Install and maintain VOIP phone system components.
Administer companywide anti-virus endpoint system.
Troubleshoot and remove of malware/trojans/spyware/viruses.
Support end users.
Proper handling of proprietary and confidential information.
Maintenance of video monitoring and NVR systems.
Conscious of user and systems security and understands Information System threats.
Assist facilities maintenance and IT Infrastructure tasks associated with building reconfigurations and moves.
Working knowledge of Image deployment tools (preferably MDT) preferred.
Basic Understanding of Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) preferred.
Support Windows server 2016/2019, Windows 10) preferred.
Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, and IP configuration) preferred.
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent, two-year degree or greater preferred. Specialized PC hardware/software and network training, certifications, or experience preferred.
One-year experience preferred.
Solid computer hardware/software/network knowledge.
Understanding of network operations and protocols (TCP/IP).
Ability to write and communicate in an intelligent manner.
Provide end user support in a mature, intelligent, friendly, and courteous manner.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of applicable ISO processes.
On-site normal office, machine shop, and electronics manufacturing production environment.
Occasional work on ladders, stairs, or on a lift.
Occasional work outside which may include working at ground level up to building roof level.
Occasional travel to other facilities.
May require some lifting of up to 30 pounds.
