Salary: Competitive starting hourly rate | based on qualifications and experience. 

 

Work Schedule: Full-time hours, Monday-Friday 5:00am-1:30pm, OT hours as available

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
  • Fabricate and assemble structural and machine components
  • Perform SMAW (stick), FCAW (flux core), and GTAW (TIG) welding processes
  • Adjust and set welding equipment properly
  • Produce quality welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, and material handling equipment like a pro
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
  • Engage in cross-training and continuous development because staying sharp is part of the gig

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Proficient experience with various welding methods (SMAW, FCAW, GTAW) and equipment use within heavy equipment manufacturing environment - must be able to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Certifications: AWS D1.1/D14.1 certifications preferred but not required
  • Physical Readiness: Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds and operate heavy equipment safely
  • Communication: Strong English skills (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Work Ethic: Hard-working, reliable, detail-oriented, and aligned with ACECO’s mission, vision, and values
  • Safety Mindset: Commitment to keeping yourself and your teammates safe every single day

 

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

 

  • Industrial shop environment with exposure to machinery, moving parts, welding fumes, and fabrication noise.
  • Regular standing, walking, reaching, lifting, bending, and working with hands/tools.
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required and provided
