Industrial Services Technician – Night Shift

Location:Nestlé USA, Solon, OH

Shift:Night Shift (12-hour shifts, rotating 3-4 schedule, with potential for overtime)

About the Role

As anIndustrial Services Technicianat Nestlé in Solon, you’ll play a key role in keeping our production running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing critical utility systems including boilers, ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, and more. This is a hands-on role that supports the heart of our facility’s operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Start up and monitor utility systems to ensure safe and efficient operation.

• Read and adjust gauges, instruments, and controls to maintain proper fluid levels, pressure, and temperature.

• Maintain and troubleshoot systems such as:- Ammonia refrigeration

  • Steam generation
  • Compressed air
  • Hot and treated water
  • Glycol systems

• Use water chemistry knowledge to service and maintain equipment.

• Monitor building utilities and respond to emergency calls, especially on the production floor.

• Ensure continuous operation of refrigeration, HVAC, and utility systems.

• Diagnose and repair issues using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing tools.

• Perform pipefitting, plumbing, and rebuild pumps, valves, regulators, traps, and fans.

• Follow all safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

• Take on additional duties as needed.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• Required License:State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operator or Third Class Stationary Engineer.

• Experience:Minimum 3 years in boiler, refrigeration, HVAC, and utility system maintenance.

• Preferred:Experience with ammonia refrigeration and electrical controls.

• Certifications:- EPA refrigerant recovery (preferred)

  • HAZMAT training (preferred – training provided)

• Skills:- Strong attention to detail and legible handwriting

  • Ability to climb stairs and stand for extended periods
  • Able to recognize and respond to warning signals (lights, alarms, buzzers)

• Education:High school diploma or GED preferred
