Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Industrial Safety Coordinator to join our team in Louisville, KY, 40206. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the safety protocols within our facility. Your expertise will help us maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and fostering a culture of safety among our employees.
Must be willing to travel around 30% of the time. Travel pay is involved. More information will be given throughout the interview process.

Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Lead safety training programs for employees, promoting awareness and adherence to safety practices.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with management to develop safety goals and objectives, tracking progress and reporting outcomes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure our safety practices remain current and effective.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external safety organizations.
- Foster a culture of safety by encouraging employee engagement and feedback on safety practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial safety, preferably in a Heavy Construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar are preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
