You are an experienced finishing painter who is looking for an opportunity to be part of a growing company. What does your day/week/month look like?
Prepare metal parts for powder coating, including cleaning, masking, plugging, hanging, and other required preparation.
Set up and operate powder coating equipment and spray guns.
Apply powder coatings evenly and consistently to a variety of metal components.
Adjust equipment settings, powder flow, air pressure, and application techniques as necessary to achieve proper coverage.
Load, unload, and monitor parts through the curing process.
Verify proper cure temperatures and times according to applicable specifications.
Inspect finished parts for proper coverage, thickness, appearance, adhesion, and overall quality.
Identify coating defects and perform touch-up or rework when required.
Read and follow work orders, drawings, customer specifications, and written work instructions.
Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
Clean and maintain spray equipment, booths, work areas, racks, hooks, and related equipment.
Properly handle, label, store, and dispose of coating materials in accordance with company procedures.
Meet production schedules while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Follow all company safety requirements, including required PPE.
Support other Finishing Department activities as needed.
What do you need for this amazing opportunity?
Highschool degree in general education is preferred but not required.
1 to 2 years’ experience as a finishing painter in the metal fabrication industry preferred but not required
Excellent organizational skills; detailed orientated and able to handle multiple tasks; able to prioritize; able to meet deadlines
Able to follow directions
Mechanical aptitude
Mathematical aptitude
Basic computer skills; able to learn software programs
Ability/learn to read engineering drawings and work instructions
Attention to detail
Knowledgeable in setting up/operation of painting equipment
Knowledgeable in key factors in spray gun painting and how to enhance/mitigate
Knowledgeable with MIL-SPEC paints and proper application
Must be 18 years of age
Able to lift up to 75 pounds
Able to stand for a full 8 hour shift
