Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Pipefitter to join their second-shift crew in Burleson, TX. In this role, you will fabricate, install, and maintain process piping systems in an active industrial environment. Your typical shift will include reading blueprints and isometric drawings, measuring and cutting pipe, fitting and aligning components, and working alongside welders to complete installations to spec.

This position exists to support ongoing project demand and keep production schedules on track during evening hours. You will work closely with welders, millwrights, electricians, and other craft professionals, and report directly to the second-shift Foreman or Field Supervisor.

The ideal candidate takes pride in precise, quality work, follows safety procedures without shortcuts, and enjoys hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and isometric drawings to plan piping layouts.
• Measure, cut, thread, bevel, and fit carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy pipe.
• Install and align valves, flanges, fittings, supports, and hangers to specification.
• Fit up pipe for welders and verify alignment and tolerances before welding.
• Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing of completed systems.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, beveling machines, chain falls, and rigging equipment safely.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing piping systems as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Follow all site safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Communicate job progress and any issues to the shift Foreman.

Required Experience/Skills

• 3+ years of industrial pipefitting experience (manufacturing, plant, refinery, or process piping).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and P&IDs.
• Strong knowledge of pipe fitting math, layout, and measuring.
• Experience with carbon steel and stainless steel piping systems.
• Familiarity with rigging and safe material-handling practices.
• Ability to work second shift consistently, plus overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and work in confined spaces.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation and own hand tools.

Nice-to-Haves

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• NCCER Pipefitter certification.
• Experience with orbital or TIG welding.
• Aerial lift or forklift certification.
• Experience with high-pressure or steam piping systems.
• Experience in food & beverage, chemical, or heavy manufacturing facilities.

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred. Completion of a pipefitting apprenticeship or trade school program is a plus.
