Industrial Painter / Powder Coater

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour, based on experience

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Painter / Powder Coater to prepare, coat, and finish fabricated metal parts in a manufacturing environment.

This position involves both wet spray painting and powder coating. Candidates with strong experience in either process may be considered, while experience with both is preferred.

This is a first-shift opportunity with a strong company that offers long-term stability and room to grow into additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and clean fabricated metal parts before coating.
• Apply wet paint and powder coatings to metal parts and components.
• Operate industrial spray-painting and powder-coating equipment.
• Assist with curing coated parts.
• Follow work instructions and coating requirements.
• Maintain consistent coverage and finish quality.
• Inspect completed parts for runs, thin spots, missed areas, uneven coverage, and other defects.
• Make basic application adjustments to improve coating quality.
• Handle finished parts carefully to avoid damaging the coating.
• Maintain clean and organized spray equipment, booths, and work areas.
• Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Assist with other production and finishing duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial wet-painting or powder-coating experience preferred.
• Experience applying coatings to fabricated metal parts is highly desirable.
• Candidates with strong experience in either wet paint or powder coating will be considered.
• Manufacturing, fabrication, automotive, equipment, or production-painting experience may transfer well.
• Ability to properly prepare and clean metal surfaces.
• Ability to recognize coating defects and maintain finish quality.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable attendance and a solid work ethic.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, lift, and work safely in an industrial environment.
