Job Title: Industrial Painter – 3rd Shift
Location: Sumner, Iowa 
Shifts Available:

• 3rd Shift- Monday-Thursday 8pm-6am
  • Training will be on 1st shift 

Join our team of skilled professionals building essential vehicles that save lives. We're currently hiring experienced Industrial Painters for 3rd shift. Please note this is not an auto body or residential painting role — prior factory/industrial painting experience is required.

Job Summary:

As a Painter, you will be responsible for prepping, coating, and finishing surfaces on large metal components and vehicles using spray equipment in a fast-paced, production environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our products are delivered with the highest quality finish, while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and removing rust or old coatings
• Mix and apply primers, paints, sealants, and finishes using spray guns and related equipment
• Operate and maintain painting tools, spray systems, compressors, and ventilation equipment
• Follow blueprints and specifications to ensure proper paint coverage and finish
• Mask and tape off areas not to be painted
• Inspect finished products for quality and consistency
• Wear and maintain appropriate PPE and follow all safety guidelines
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum 1 year of industrial painting experience in a manufacturing or factory setting
• Skilled in using spray painting equipment and understanding of industrial coatings
• Ability to read blueprints and follow work instructions
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and hazardous materials handling
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including standing for long periods, working at heights, and lifting up to 50 lbs
