With a strong dedication to safety, innovation, and delivering innovative solutions to our customers, we are seeking an experienced, skilled, and detail-oriented painter to join our 3rd Shift team.
Position Overview: The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint and other coatings to steel equipment and structures, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets our rigorous industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, applying primers and masking appropriate surfaces.
• Mix and apply paints, varnishes, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Inspect finished surfaces for quality and make necessary touch-ups or corrections.
• Maintain and clean painting equipment and work areas.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Maintain technical equipment for the production jobs and ensuring they are in working order
• Possess experience with a wide array of painting tools including thin and thick brushes, airbrushes and rollers
• Remove previous paint surfaces using PPE masking or a chemical rinse
• Collaborate with other team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as an industrial painter, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of various painting techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Reliable transportation and strict punctuality and attendance habits.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
