Job Summary
Express Employment is currently seeking experienced and dependable Industrial Painters for a leading manufacturing client in the Springfield area. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing, painting, and finishing industrial equipment, machinery, or metal surfaces while maintaining high-quality standards and workplace safety.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, and applying primers.Mix paints, coatings, and other finishing materials according to specifications.Apply coatings using spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other painting equipment.Inspect finished surfaces to ensure quality standards are met.Perform touch-ups and corrective work as needed.Maintain painting equipment and keep work areas clean and organized.Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and coating specifications.Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.QualificationsPrevious industrial painting experience preferred.Experience with airless spray systems, conventional spray equipment, or powder coating is a plus.Ability to read and follow technical instructions and specifications.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, or reach for extended periods.Comfortable working in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environments.
