We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industrial or automotive painting experience who takes pride in producing high-quality finishes.
Position Overview
As a Painter, you will be responsible for preparing and painting specialized equipment while ensuring a consistent, high-quality finish. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, experience with professional painting equipment, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment and surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming
- Fill, repair, and smooth surface imperfections prior to paint application
- Apply paint using spray guns and other painting techniques
- Mix and match paint colors according to specifications
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality, consistency, and proper finish
- Identify and correct paint imperfections or deviations from specifications
- Clean, maintain, and properly operate painting equipment, including spray guns and tools
- Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance concerns
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and properly handle painting materials
- Work closely with production and manufacturing teams to meet production schedules
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience as an Industrial, Manufacturing, or Automotive Painter
- Experience with spray painting and professional painting equipment
- Knowledge of surface preparation, sanding, priming, and finishing techniques
- Automotive painting experience is highly preferred
- Painting certification or formal training is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow safety procedures and properly handle painting materials
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform bending, stooping, and lifting as needed
