Industrial Network Engineer - Manufacturing Operations

Our client is seeking an experienced Industrial Network Engineer to implement, maintain, and support secure, reliable operational-technology network infrastructure at its Jackson, Tennessee manufacturing facility. This role is the primary technical resource for industrial networks, manufacturing systems, and digital-factory initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial Ethernet and OT network infrastructure.

• Support manufacturing systems, plant-floor connectivity, automation and controls, MES/SCADA integrations, and operational uptime.

• Partner with Automation, IT, Information Security, Operations, Maintenance, and vendors.

• Apply OT cybersecurity, segmentation, access controls, monitoring, compliance, and incident-response practices.

• Maintain network documentation, standards, governance, lifecycle plans, and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Required

• Experience supporting OT/industrial networks in a manufacturing environment.

• Knowledge of industrial networking, switching, routing, firewalls, remote access, and network troubleshooting.

• Experience with manufacturing systems and plant-floor technology, with strong collaboration across IT and Operations.

• Understanding of OT cybersecurity and secure network design.

Preferred

• Experience with automation/controls, MES, SCADA, Industry 4.0, and digital-factory programs.

• Relevant networking, cybersecurity, or industrial-technology certifications.

Success is measured by reliable plant-floor connectivity, secure and compliant OT infrastructure, responsive operational support, clear documentation, and successful technology improvements.
