Position Overview
A stable manufacturing company is seeking experienced Industrial Mechanics to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery. These hands-on positions require strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Service motors, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring devices, and testing equipment.
- Perform welding and basic fabrication as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, equipment manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Prepare new machinery for production and verify safe operation.
- Identify recurring equipment failures and recommend improvements to reduce downtime.
- Create and manage work orders through a CMMS.
- Support less-experienced maintenance employees when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Four or more years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Experience repairing motors, pumps, conveyors, and production machinery.
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Welding experience.
- Experience using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Basic computer skills and experience using a CMMS.
- Ability to work one of the listed weekend schedules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Technology, Electromechanical Technology, or a related field.
- Experience installing or commissioning production equipment.
- Experience with downtime analysis and equipment reliability improvements.
