We have an exciting opportunity for a Lubrication & Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities Team in Poway, CA!
The Lubrication & Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the upkeep, reliability, and performance of manufacturing production equipment. This entry-level role focuses on performing routine lubrication, coolant management, and basic preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform routine lubrication of machinery and equipment according to established schedules
- Monitor and maintain proper oil, grease, coolant, and other fluid levels in production equipment
- Conduct coolant/cooler fluid checks, including concentration, condition, and contamination levels
- Perform coolant exchange (drain, flush, and refill) on machines and systems following standard procedures
- Assist in preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on manufacturing equipment
- Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, overheating, or abnormal fluid conditions and report findings
- Replace filters, clean reservoirs/tanks, and remove sludge or buildup from coolant systems
- Maintain accurate maintenance and lubrication records/logs, including coolant service history
- Follow safety procedures for handling, mixing, and disposing of oils, coolants, and chemicals
- Support maintenance technicians and mechanics during repair and equipment servicing
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with 5S or similar standards
- Identify opportunities to improve lubrication and coolant management practices for equipment reliability

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical training or coursework in maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is a plus
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Familiarity with lubricants, coolants, or industrial fluids is a plus (training provided)
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and maintenance schedules
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Basic computer or data entry skills preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40–50 lbs
- Comfortable working around machinery, fluids, and industrial environments
- Ability to climb ladders and access equipment as needed
Work Environment- Manufacturing/production facility environment
- Exposure to moving machinery, oils, coolants, and varying temperatures
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
