The Industrial Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment within a durable goods production environment. This position focuses on performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules. The technician will collaborate closely with production teams to identify potential issues before they escalate, thereby supporting overall plant safety and productivity. Additionally, the role requires maintaining accurate maintenance records and adhering to safety and quality standards. Ultimately, the technician’s expertise directly contributes to the reliability and longevity of manufacturing equipment, supporting the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality products on time.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related technical field OR 3 years in a corrugated plant
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical experience in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in a durable goods manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Basic welding and fabrication skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce unexpected breakdowns.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures promptly to minimize production interruptions.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service reports, and parts inventory to support operational transparency and compliance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment during all maintenance activities.

- Ability to perform machine rebuild with little to no supervision
- Install/align closed gear drives
- Maintain safety guards
- Fabricate hydraulic lines
- Neat and clean workstation
- Perform proper Lock Out
- Ability to work cross functional shifts
- Ability to stand and walk up to 2/3 of the time. Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or touch, talk or hear more than 2/3 of the time.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted, and lift up to 100 pounds assisted.
