Position Summary
The Industrial Maintenance Technician iplays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of manufacturing equipment within the facility. The position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment used in corrugated manufacturing, such as corrugators, flexo folder gluers, rotary die cutters, conveyor systems, and material-handling equipment. This role ensures maximum uptime, product quality, and operational efficiency while adhering to all safety and compliance standards.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on corrugators, converting machines, and related plant equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
Respond promptly to machine breakdowns and minimize downtime through effective troubleshooting and repairs.
Install, align, and rebuild motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, and other mechanical components.
Troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, drives, PLC I/O, sensors, relays, and control panels.
Assist with programming or basic modifications to PLC-based systems (Allen-Bradley/Siemens preferred).
Maintain proper documentation of electrical schematics and control diagrams.
Follow all OSHA, company, and industry safety standards related to machine energy control (LOTO) and maintenance procedures.
Identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions to reduce risk.
Participate in safety meetings, audits, and root-cause analysis activities.
Collaborate with machine operators and production supervisors to ensure equipment operates at optimal performance levels.
Perform routine building maintenance, including HVAC, lighting, and facility systems as needed.
Keep accurate maintenance logs, PM records, and parts inventory using CMMS software.
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or corrugated packaging environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electrical components.
Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic meters.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-production environment.
Experience working with corrugator equipment or converting machines (Bobst, Ward, JS, Fosber, Marquip, etc.).
Basic PLC troubleshooting experience.
Vocational/technical degree or maintenance certification.
Forklift or aerial lift certification.
Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong safety mindset
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently
Work in hot/cold environments, around moving machinery, and in elevated areas
