Hirsh Industries, one of America's most successful filing cabinets and storage solutions manufacturers, is searching for a Maintenance Technician for its manufacturing plant in Dover, DE. This role support the Paint department and will be required to work the 3rd Shift. Position Role and Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing routine unscheduled and preventative maintenance for the Paint department
Assist other 3rd Shift team members as needed
Assist production as needed, including Press Operations that run at night
Shut down utilities (ventilation and burner equipment) and restart as needed for the day shift
Conduct regular 5S area audits and drive adaptation of high-level organization, visual control, and efficient use of space
Participates in team building, training, and department communications and reports daily in morning turnover meetings
Other duties as assigned

Essential Functions:

Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand for the length of the assigned shift
Must be able to utilize both hands
Must be able to visually examine the product for quality
Must be able to effectively communicate with others
Must be able to work independently or as a member of a team
Must be able to work assigned hours which are as follows:
- Sunday 10:00 pm - Monday 8:30 am
- Monday 10:00 pm - Tuesday 8:30 am
- Tuesday 10:00 pm - Wednesday 8:30 am
- Wednesday 10:00 pm - Thursday 8:30 am
Must maintain an acceptable attendance record

Required Experience:

Prior industrial maintenance experience is required
Prior knowledge of paint systems helpful
Prior technical experience is required
Requires excellent interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and computer literacy
Must provide own tools

Must have or be able to obtain the following licenses/certifications:

Forklift
