Description

Starting $27-$32 an hour. Hartung Glass Phoenix, AZ is looking for a hands-on, go-getter Industrial Maintenance Technician for our Phoenix, AZ facility. Second shift functions from 4PM - 1AM and will need to be on call for weekends. Able to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems on machinery safely. Bilingual preferred.

Requirements

  • Meets maintenance operational standards by contributing maintenance information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems. Strong knowledge, working with warehouse, and office equipment.
  • Evaluates functionality and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements.
  • Maintains function and reliability of facility systems and associated equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
  • Performs a variety of mechanical duties throughout the entire plant including electrical, plumbing, welding, etc.
  • Knowledgeable about troubleshooting and repairing processors, relays, and other electrical issues.
  • Knowledgeable about troubleshooting and repairing rollers, drives, and other mechanical issues.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top facility management.
  • Capable to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Capable of interpreting an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Maintains function and reliability of all facility systems and associated equipment by following preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal codes and regulations and keeping the facility as clean as possible.
  • Dismantles machines, replaces defective parts, reassembles machines, and makes necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
  • May fabricate machine guards, install, or repair conveyers, replace motors, tear down or replace pumps, maintain fluid collection or distribution equipment or repair electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Stays current on all OSHA regulations to ensure facility compliance on safety protocols.

Other Qualifications

· High school Diploma or equivalent

· Specialized training in Mechanical, or electrical systems maintenance

· Ability to read and write in English

· 3-5 years machine maintenance experience required

· Experience with electrical, welding, plumbing, mechanical repairs, HVAC, etc.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· CNC machine maintenance experience highly preferred

· Glass industry experience preferred.

· Bilingual Preferred
