Job Overview

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure industrial machinery and facility systems operate safely and at peak efficiency. This position focuses on mechanical power transmission, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics systems in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility infrastructure to minimize downtime and prevent damage.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex equipment, including mechanical and hydraulic presses, CNC machining centers, robotics, furnaces, grinders, laser cutters, dust/fume collectors, and HVAC systems.

  • Execute regular lubrication routes, check fluid levels, and perform routine oil and filter replacements.

  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, log maintenance activities, track parts inventory, and update standard PM procedures.

  • Analyze root causes of equipment failures and recommend preventive measures or equipment upgrades to improve safety and reliability.

  • Identify, estimate time for, and order necessary replacement parts and materials required for repairs.

  • Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and ensure work environments are free of hazards.

  • Assist external contractors and specialized technicians during third-party service calls.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of mechanical power transmission, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, fabrication, and pipefitting.

  • Preferred Skills: Experience with industrial controls, 480V 3-phase electrical systems, CNC equipment, robotics, and general machining.

  • Core Skills: Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and effective communication.

  • System Experience: Familiarity with retrieving and updating work orders via a CMMS.

  • Schedule & Travel: Flexibility to stay over or work weekends for critical repairs when needed; willingness to travel occasionally (
