Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician with a strong background in industrial maintenance, industrial electrical troubleshooting and repair, or both. The ideal candidate may come from an industrial maintenance, industrial electrician, or multi-craft maintenance background and should have hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment and electrical/mechanical systems in an industrial environment.

This position is responsible for troubleshooting production equipment, performing preventive maintenance, repairing electrical and mechanical systems, fabricating or modifying components as needed, and minimizing equipment downtime.

Essential Job Functions

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and controls using schematics, meters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot motors, electrical components, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Fabricate, weld, modify, repair, and install machine components and equipment.
• Use machine shop equipment and hand tools to fabricate or modify replacement parts.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Perform root-cause troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
• Install, align, relocate, and modify production equipment.
• Assist with emergency equipment repairs during production

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance, industrial electrical, or related manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in an industrial environment.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to independently diagnose equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs.
• Hands-on experience with industrial machinery, motors, controls, and related production equipment

Technical Skills

• Read equipment manuals, electrical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings
• Knowledge of compressed air, vacuum, hydraulics, electronic controls, and their systems
• Experience using machine shop equipment and precision measuring tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining industrial machinery, pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and other manufacturing equipment preferred
• Welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience fabricating or modifying machine components and replacement parts.
• Knowledge of facility systems and machine building
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and production personnel
• Basic computer skills

Physical Requirements:

• Must regularly lift equipment, motors, parts, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts when production requires
• Must safely work from ladders, scissor lifts, and elevated work platforms
