Job Description

Primary Job Duties:

• Ensure proper operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by performing preventive maintenance and responding to trouble calls.
• Troubleshoot issues using schematics and wiring diagrams on motor and heater circuits ranging from low voltage to 480V three-phase.
• Remove and replace defective parts from equipment using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools.
• Communicate effectively with the shift supervisor to prioritize and complete repairs.
• Maintain accurate entries in the maintenance log, documenting issues, repairs made, and parts used or required.
• Keep company tools organized and in working order.
• Fabricate repair parts, machine guards, mezzanines, etc., using shop equipment such as welders, plasma cutters, torches, and grinders.
