Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team supporting a high-speed manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment while ensuring maximum uptime, safety, and equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate is a strong multi-craft maintenance professional with experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related equipment failures.
  • Diagnose equipment issues using electrical meters, schematics, manuals, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Repair and replace motors, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, valves, belts, chains, sprockets, and power transmission components.
  • Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and assist with identifying automation issues.
  • Install, align, and commission new production equipment and machinery.
  • Perform equipment inspections to identify potential failures before unplanned downtime occurs.
  • Complete emergency repairs while minimizing production interruptions.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders within the CMMS system.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, safety, and efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve equipment issues and improve manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical degree or industrial maintenance training preferred.
  • 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc.)
  • Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) experience
  • Servo motor experience
  • Robotics troubleshooting
  • Welding and fabrication experience
  • CMMS experience
  • Food, packaging, plastics, automotive, metals, or chemical manufacturing experience
  • Industrial electrical experience up to 480V
  • Forklift and aerial lift certification
