Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery, production equipment, and facility systems. This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment.

The successful candidate will help minimize equipment downtime, maintain safe and efficient production operations, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Experience with CNC machinery, automated welding equipment, or robotic systems is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial machinery and production equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues to identify the root cause of equipment failures.

• Maintain and troubleshoot welding cells, automated weld systems, conveyors, CNC machinery, and robotic equipment.

• Inspect equipment, identify worn or defective components, and determine appropriate repair or replacement solutions.

• Source replacement parts and complete repairs to restore equipment to safe, reliable operating condition.

• Use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to document maintenance activities, track work orders, and support preventive maintenance schedules.

• Inspect used parts and mechanical components using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers.

• Reference manufacturer specifications, technical manuals, and equipment documentation when performing repairs.

• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, and other specialized maintenance equipment.

• Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to reduce equipment downtime and resolve operational or quality issues.

• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance procedures, and overall production efficiency.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to the appropriate personnel.

• Follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures, including the proper handling, storage, cleanup, and disposal of hazardous waste, used oil, and universal waste.

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with applicable workplace safety regulations.

• Participate in ongoing technical training to maintain and improve industrial maintenance skills.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or heavy equipment repair experience.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

• Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Basic understanding of electrical systems and industrial controls.

• Ability to troubleshoot, inspect, and repair production machinery and mechanical equipment.

• Comfortable using computers to document work, access technical information, and maintain service records.

• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized maintenance equipment.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production and maintenance teams.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing equipment safety and reliability.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Willingness to work overtime as needed to support production and maintenance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining CNC machinery and industrial automation equipment.

• Knowledge of robotic welding systems and automated production cells.

• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

• Advanced technical training, trade school, or college-level coursework in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical technology, or a related field.

• Experience with preventive maintenance programs, equipment inspections, and root-cause troubleshooting.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Work in both manufacturing and production areas, with occasional computer-based maintenance documentation.

• Spend extended periods standing and performing repetitive hand, arm, and wrist movements.

• Frequently communicate with coworkers, production personnel, and management.

• Perform occasional bending, lifting, carrying, and equipment inspections.

• Work around industrial machinery and production equipment while following established safety procedures.

• Work overtime as required to maintain production operations.

All maintenance activities must be performed in accordance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and established workplace procedures. Technicians must use required PPE and follow proper procedures for handling, storing, and disposing of hazardous materials, used oil, and universal waste.
