About the Role
A manufacturing facility in Milwaukee is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its night shift maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced production environment where you'll play a key role in keeping equipment operating safely and efficiently.
You'll be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment while supporting production uptime through preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility equipment issues.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment and plant systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures to minimize downtime and restore production quickly.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documentation.
- Complete maintenance work orders and accurately document repairs using a CMMS system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout requirements.
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability.
- Report equipment concerns and safety hazards promptly.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple maintenance disciplines.
- Experience in at least
three
of the following areas:
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Welding
- HVAC
- Comfortable using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must provide your own basic hand tools.
- Ability to lift up to 90 lbs.
- Willingness to complete required safety and equipment training, including forklift, aerial lift, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
