Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician performs various duties including installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment according to safety and operation guidelines.
Essential Functions
- Assemble, install, and maintain production machines and facility equipment; perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts; checking fluid levels; replacing filters; or other preventative maintenance actions per schedule.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and perform unscheduled repairs of production machines and facility equipment to keep production running safely and efficiently.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, and plumbing.
- Complete the mechanical elements of projects resulting from corrective actions relating to safety and quality.
- Ensure your own safety by always using designated personal protective equipment (PPE) and tools designed and rated for the task, complying with safety regulations, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, and blueprints to complete repairs and maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Order parts, supplies, or equipment with direction of Maintenance Manager.
- Coordinate routine maintenance on the building such as painting, roofing, fixing doors, drywall, or other parts of the building with outside vendors with direction of Maintenance Manager.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Qualifications and Requirements
- Associate degree in industrial maintenance or minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple demands of time and attention in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Must provide own hand tools.
- Available to work overtime or outside of normal business hours for projects and preventative maintenance.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with electrical (480v/240v/120v single and 3 phase).
- Minimum of 2 years experience with pneumatics.
- Minimum of 2 years experience with hydraulics.
- Experience performing maintenance on PLC equipment preferred.
- Other skills such as plumbing, carpentry, and welding and fabrication are preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting robotic equipment is preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred or other equivalent and relevant demonstrated skills and experience.
- Ability to be energetic and focused while working in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Must be able to thoroughly complete paperwork/documents
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to maintain safety while working effectively and efficiently
- Must be able to wear all required PPE for the position, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, face shield, steel or composite toe footwear, respirator, weld helmet
- Able to safely lift 80 pounds with prolonged periods of standing.
- Will continuously stand, walk, squat, stoop and bend throughout the 10 hour shift
- Potentially exposed to chemicals, dust, smoke on a frequent basis
- Occasionally climbs ladders and scaffolding.
- Must be able to use hand tools, pneumatic tools, power tools
- Will frequently work in hot or cold environments, potentially outdoors during inclement weather
