Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, as well as supporting overall facility maintenance to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience and takes pride in keeping both equipment and the facility operating at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on industrial machinery and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Repair or replace defective parts, motors, sensors, conveyors, and control systems
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
- Perform general facility maintenance including lighting, plumbing, HVAC systems, and minor building repairs
- Support upkeep of the facility such as maintaining air compressors and building systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Collaborate with production teams to address equipment concerns quickly
Qualifications
- 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing environment required)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience with PLCs (troubleshooting required; programming is a plus)
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and automated systems
- Solid knowledge of facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Skills
- Experience with CNC machinery or automated production equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance systems
- Electrical certifications or technical training
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
