A growing manufacturing company in the Edinburgh area is hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their skilled trades team.

Shift

• 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday | 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Training:

• Training will be completed on 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM) and may last up to 6 months

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, and automated machinery
• Diagnose issues involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, manuals, and engineering specs
• Repair or replace defective parts using power tools, hoists, cranes, and precision measuring tools
• Install, test, and adjust equipment to improve performance and efficiency
• Support injection molding, thermoforming, and secondary production equipment
• Help reduce downtime through scheduled PMs and urgent repairs
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and repair documentation
• Work with vendors and contractors to source parts and support repairs
• Follow all plant safety procedures and lockout/tagout standards

What We’re Looking For

• Previous industrial maintenance technician experience required
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or plant maintenance
• Experience with injection molding or thermoforming equipment is a plus
• Automotive maintenance background is helpful
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, conveyors, and industrial equipment
• Ability to work independently and respond with urgency
• Willingness to work occasional weekends, off-shift hours, or on-call support
