Company Information:A company in the Edinburgh area is looking to add a skilledIndustrial Maintenance Technicianto their team!

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting production and quality by keeping equipment running safely and efficiently. This role works across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, with exposure to injection molding, thermoforming, and secondary equipment.

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift; Monday – Friday 2PM -10PM
• 3rd Shift; Monday – Friday 10PM – 6AM
• Training will occur on 1st Shift; 6AM-2:30PM and may last up to 6 months

Industrial Maintenance Tech's Job Duties:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pneumatic systems, and production machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, operations manuals, and engineering specifications.
• Diagnose problems by observing equipment in operation, listening for abnormal sounds, and using precision measuring tools.
• Remove and replace defective components using standard power tools, hoists, cranes, and lifting equipment.
• Install equipment from start to finish and make adjustments to optimize performance.
• Help reduce downtime by coordinating routine preventative maintenance.
• Maintain maintenance records and communicate equipment issues or irregularities to the team.
• Work with vendors and contractors and order parts as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with all safety standards, procedures, and internal policies.

Industrial Maintenance Tech's Requirements:

• Industrial maintenance experience required (injection molding or thermoforming experience is a plus).
• Strong working knowledge of industrial equipment and safety procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic).
• Self-motivated, safety-minded, and able to manage time and priorities.
• Positive, “can-do” attitude with a strong sense of urgency.
• Team player who communicates well and contributes to overall success.
• Comfortable working a flexible schedule, including on-call support, off-shift hours, and weekends as needed.
