Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues by identifying root causes of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic malfunctions and implementing timely corrective actions.

  • Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including transformers, control panels, wiring, sensors, and other electrical and electronic components.

  • Maintain and repair piping systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic lines, valves, pumps, and actuators.

  • Perform structural repairs and routine upkeep to the plant’s physical infrastructure, ensuring a safe and functional working environment.

  • Utilize machine shop equipment (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses) to fabricate or modify parts, tools, and fixtures as needed.

  • Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.

  • Conduct equipment repairs and rebuilds, including hydraulic units, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, and automated systems.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by completing project work orders and participating in reliability and efficiency improvement efforts.

  • Document all maintenance activities and part usage in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure accuracy in tracking and reporting.

  • Coordinate with maintenance planners, engineers, and reliability staff to ensure appropriate parts, tools, and documentation are available for scheduled work.

  • Maintain flexibility in work assignments, including availability for rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs as business needs require.
