• Inspecting facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
• Follow weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
• Recruiting, supervising and training maintenance technicians

Job brief:

• Work together with maintenance team to support efforts in making sure employer property such as buildings and grounds, are kept up.
• Identify areas for improvement and offer potential solutions to address those areas.
• Follow defined maintenance schedules to contribute to a proactive maintenance team.
• Respond to emergency breakdown calls for maintenance.
• Perform troubleshooting to solve minor and major machine issues.
• Contact and schedule third party repairmen and extra help as needed.
• Perform administrative tasks as required such as; inputting work orders in CMMS system for historical data tracking for future review.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
• Follow weekly maintenance schedules.
• Assist third party tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
• Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.
• Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations

Requirements:

* Steel Processing Experience preferred but not required.

*Ability to troubleshoot.

* Knowledge of maintenance procedures.

*Ability to lift heavy loads, physical agility, manual dexterity. Experience in maintenance is required.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ year’s relevant experience in maintenance.
• Knowledge in a variety of mechanical systems.
• Ability to consistently maintain positive relationships with maintenance and production team members.
• Makes safety a priority at all times.
• Basic computer functions.

• Creating Preventive Maintenance Plans
• HVAC/R Systems
• Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
• Electrical Troubleshooting
• Electrical Repair
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification (OSHA 10)
• Quality Control Experience

Machines & technologies you'll use:

• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)
• Conveyor Systems
• Hydraulic Shear / Shearing Machine
