Maintenance Technician

Helion is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to support a manufacturing facility in a fast-paced production environment. This position will focus heavily on breakdown response, mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, and maintaining reliable production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair rotating equipment including conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, motors, and related machinery.

• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot issues on production lines.

• Perform shaft alignment and bearing installation as part of equipment maintenance and repairs.

• Replace and repair conveyors and conveyor components as needed.

• Perform weekly preventive maintenance on production equipment.

• Identify, clear, and monitor material buildup on equipment to prevent production issues.

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and equipment documentation.

• Support larger equipment repairs, changeouts, and maintenance projects.

• Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• Strong multi-craft maintenance experience with a strong mechanical background.

• Experience troubleshooting conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, motors, and other rotating equipment.

• Ability to independently perform shaft alignment.

• Experience replacing conveyors and conveyor components.

• Experience performing preventive maintenance independently.

• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and equipment documentation.

• Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a maintenance team.
