Aurora, IL | 2nd & 3rd Shift | $36–$40/Hour + Shift Differential

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking experienced Industrial Maintenance Technicians to support a high-volume nutrition manufacturing facility in Aurora, Illinois.

This is a hands-on maintenance role focused on high-speed filling, packaging, and processing equipment. The ideal technician has strong experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems and is comfortable working with industrial equipment ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay: $36.00–$40.00 per hour

Shift Differential: Additional premium for 2nd and 3rd shift

Overtime: Available based on production needs

2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM

3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have both of the following:

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience supporting filling and packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment

  • 5+ years of hands-on electromechanical troubleshooting experience involving industrial equipment operating from 24VDC through 480VAC

Candidates who do not meet both requirements will not be considered.

What You'll Do

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on filling, packaging, and production equipment

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues

  • Respond to equipment failures and production downtime

  • Diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability

  • Perform scheduled PMs and complete maintenance work orders in the CMMS

  • Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, controls, and other electrical components

  • Support equipment reliability, continuous improvement, and safety initiatives

  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to maximize equipment uptime

  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications

  • Provide technical guidance and support to operators and less experienced maintenance team members

  • Follow all GMP, food safety, quality, and plant safety requirements

Equipment You'll Maintain

Experience with equipment such as:

  • Bottle fillers and rinsers

  • Cappers and labelers

  • Conveyors

  • Check weighers and industrial scales

  • Case erectors and case sealers

  • Palletizers and stretch wrappers

  • Blenders and processing equipment

  • AC/DC motors and drives

  • Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)

  • Automated packaging systems

Required Technical Skills

Electrical & Controls

  • 24VDC–480VAC industrial electrical troubleshooting

  • Three-phase power and motor controls

  • AC/DC motors and VFDs

  • Electrical diagnostics and repair

  • PLC I/O and sensor troubleshooting

  • Reading and interpreting electrical schematics

  • Use of electrical test equipment, including multimeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and meggers

Mechanical & Pneumatic

  • Industrial mechanical troubleshooting and repair

  • Pneumatic system troubleshooting

  • Conveyor and packaging equipment maintenance

  • Equipment alignment and component replacement

  • Root Cause Analysis and corrective action

Safety

  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

  • Arc Flash safety and PPE requirements

  • Electrical safety practices

  • Safe troubleshooting of industrial electrical equipment

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is a plus but is not required:

  • Food & beverage or nutritional products manufacturing

  • Dry powder filling

  • High-speed packaging equipment

  • PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics

  • Servo motors and motion control

  • SAP or other CMMS platforms

  • GMP/HACCP environments

  • Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic technical training

  • Welding or fabrication experience

  • Powered Industrial Truck (PIT/Forklift) experience

  • Spanish language skills

Pay Details: $36.00 to $40.00 per hour
