Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment while driving uptime and reliability across the facility.
This is a hands-on, multi-craft position requiring strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, along with experience in industrial automation environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems (up to 480V), PLCs, and controls
- Diagnose issues with motors, VFDs, sensors, and automated systems
- Maintain and repair mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and gearboxes
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Support production by minimizing downtime and improving equipment reliability
- Utilize CMMS systems to document work orders and maintenance activities
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting experience with PLC systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and mechanical components
- Experience with VFDs, servo motors, and automated production equipment
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP, Maximo, etc.) preferred
- Technical degree or certification preferred (not required with strong experience)
Preferred Experience
- Food & beverage, automotive, packaging, or high-speed manufacturing environments
- Robotics experience (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA)
- Welding and fabrication skills (MIG/TIG)
- Experience with continuous improvement or reliability initiatives
