We're seeking a versatile team member who enjoys trouble-shooting and machine repair in an off-shift, industrial setting. We're expanding our team & hiring!
What You’ll Be Doing:
Repairs and maintains buildings, machinery, and mechanical equipment, to include performing electrical functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned.
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble. Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Repairs and maintains equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturers’ specifications using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Repairs and replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts.
- May set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Completes training on new and existing equipment.
- May specialize in one or more of the following areas, but would not be required to have specialized knowledge in all areas: mechanical, electrical, electronics, HVAC and hydraulics. In all cases would have general knowledge of all areas.
- Complies with all quality and ISO standards and OSHA standards
- Applies electrical knowledge to test electrical equipment and controls circuitry to determine causes of malfunction.
- Assembles and tests motor control devices, switch panels, transformers, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principals.
- Diagnose cause of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and performs preventative and corrective maintenance.
- Must have lock out tag out training and able to train other technicians.
Schedule:
Weekend Shift: 6AM - 6PM, Friday to Sunday, $3/hr premium once assigned to shift.
May work other shifts as needed for training and coverage.
Qualifications
- 5 years’ experience in related industrial maintenance roles that includes familiarity with:
- hydraulics, mechanical, electrical machine control and/or PLCs
- welding/metal fabrication
- manufacturing environment
- maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair industrial equipment. Must also have ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical or electronic equipment and components; read and understand electrical and machine schematics.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently; 50 lbs occasionally
- Computer skills – able to navigate various software, including manufacturing software and maintenance tracking systems.
- US Person (meets ITAR/EAR requirements)
Preferred
- Two-year technical degree or vocational training in industrial maintenance
- Familiarity of NEMA standards and UL Listings practices
- Master Electrician License or similar
- Experience with welding, robotic welding or metal forming equipment including bending, cutting or roll forming.
