Job Summary

This 2nd-shift Industrial Maintenance Mechanic performs comprehensive mechanical maintenance and breakdown repair across high-speed food processing and packaging equipment in a clean, well-lit, GMP-regulated facility — with world-class training, high-end tools, a safety-first culture, and an elite overtime pay structure (time-and-a-half after 8 hours daily, double-time on Sundays).

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute comprehensive mechanical maintenance, rapid fault-tracing, and emergency breakdown repairs across high-speed food processing and packaging equipment.

  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and rebuild conveyor systems, high-speed belts, sortation lines, and mechanical drive assemblies.

  • Diagnose and service high-pressure pneumatic systems, pneumatic valves, heavy-duty hydraulic pumps, and fluid power loops safely.

  • Use welding gear as needed to modify structural frameworks, repair machine guards, and reinforce floor components.

  • Partner with production leadership to maintain an immaculate, food-safe, fully compliant manufacturing footprint that meets strict sanitation standards.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • 1+ year of verifiable hands-on industrial mechanical maintenance in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Hands-on familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors — strictly required.

  • Basic structural welding and torch-cutting ability for machinery repair and modification.

  • Comfort working in a regulated, food-grade (GMP) production environment with strict sanitation and safety standards.

  • Stable, dependable employment history demonstrating punctuality and teamwork.

  • Permanent residency within a 45-minute daily driving radius of the Greater Madison area.

  • US Citizen or Green Card holder (no sponsorship or relocation available).

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Clean, well-lit, highly regulated food-grade production facility with strict GMP safety and sanitation protocols. 100% onsite, 2nd shift, Monday–Friday. Elite overtime structure: time-and-a-half after 8 hours daily and double-time on Sundays.

Compensation & Benefits

$31.00/hour baseline plus daily overtime (1.5x after 8 hours) and double-time (2.0x) for voluntary Sunday coverage.
