One of America's most successful manufacturers of filing cabinets and storage solutions has an opening for a 3rd shift PM Mechanic for its Dover, Delaware location.

 Duties

  • Perform assigned PM and refurbishment activities at night on the Lateral line.
  • Assist other 3rd shift team members as required, learn the daily line startups in Paint and Lateral.
  • Report daily in morning E5 turnover meeting.
  • Perform PM routine record keeping and daily turnover.
  • Conduct regular 5-s area audits and drive adaption of a high level of organization, visual control, and efficient use of space.
  • Maintain professional and effective communication with management and leaders.
  • Assist production when needed, including Press Operations that run at night.
  • Shut down utilities (ventilation and burner equipment) and restart as needed for day shift.
  • Call for additional maintenance resource support when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years prior experience in an industrial environment
  • Completion of formal Industrial Maintenance outside training 
  • Prior Press operation and die setting training
  • Demonstrated accuracy and efficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and low voltage electrical issues.
  • Demonstrated personal accountability, sound work ethic, safe work record, teamwork, and quality.
  • Strong desire to make meaningful improvements.
  • Works to task and not the clock.
  • Demonstrated professionalism in written and verbal communications
  • Other trade experience beneficial.
