Hudson Bread Company is a leading artisan bakery and distributor serving the Tri-State area. Our growth depends on reliable production equipment and a strong maintenance team.
We are hiring a mid-level Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with strong electrical troubleshooting skills and hands-on mechanical experience. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to diagnose and repair equipment quickly in a fast-paced production environment.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
PLC knowledge is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Mechanic will keep production equipment running efficiently and safely. Duties include:
- Perform preventative maintenance on bakery and production equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
- Troubleshoot electrical problems, including motors, relays, sensors, and control panels
- Assist with diagnosing PLC-related issues (preferred, not required)
- Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs when equipment fails
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in accordance with OSHA guidelines
- Work closely with production staff to minimize downtime
- Assist with parts inventory and maintenance records
- Support small facility and equipment improvement projects as needed
Requirements
- 3–5 years of industrial maintenance or mechanical experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (required)
- Mechanical experience with motors, conveyors, belts, and drive systems
- Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- PLC troubleshooting experience a plus
- Ability to work independently and respond quickly to equipment issues
- Basic computer skills (email, work orders, maintenance tracking)
- Experience in food production or manufacturing a plus
