Plastipak Maintenance Mechanics perform, monitor, and evaluate preventative maintenance plans for assigned lines and continually work towards improving equipment and processes.

**Shift: **Nights: 6:30pm-7am (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off)
Pay: $28.00/hr + shift premium
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will:
- Observe mechanical devices in operation and troubleshoot to locate cause of trouble 
- Dismantles equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts 
- Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections 
- Repair or replace defective parts. Install special functional and structural parts in equipment 
- Repair electricial equipment 
- Perform scheduled maintenance 
- Operate lathes, drill press, grinder and other metal working tools to make and repair parts. 
To be a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll need:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Welding and fabrication experience strongly preferred
- Experience with manufacturing equipment
- Able to read and interpret technical & operational documents, including manuals, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot & problem solve
- Physical requirement includes ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on aerial platforms up to 20 feet with or without reasonable accommodation
