Help ensure that our facilities, equipment, and building systems operate safely and efficiently. In this role, you will be part of a proactive maintenance team responsible for regular inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, while also managing work orders and assisting third-party trades as needed.
Facility & Equipment Inspections:
Conduct routine inspections of buildings and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
Monitor systems such as HVAC, heating, ventilation, and other building operations for potential issues.
Preventative & Corrective Maintenance:
Follow and contribute to weekly maintenance schedules.
Troubleshoot and repair both minor and major issues on mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC/R systems.
Respond promptly to emergency breakdown calls to minimize downtime.
Coordination & Administration:
Assist external trades (electricians, plumbers, etc.) during installations, repairs, or maintenance tasks.
Manage and track work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for historical data and future reference.
Monitor inventory levels of materials and equipment to ensure timely restocking.
Team Collaboration:
Support and mentor fellow maintenance technicians, sharing insights and best practices.
Communicate effectively with production teams to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance activities.
Experience & Education:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
A minimum of 2 years of relevant maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Technical Skills:
Strong ability to troubleshoot a variety of mechanical and electrical systems.
Experience with creating and following preventive maintenance plans.
Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with CMMS software.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
Ability to lift between 15 to 50 pounds.
Must be capable of standing, walking, climbing, bending, and performing manual tasks for extended periods.
Commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards at all times.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in steel processing is a plus.
Familiarity with HVAC/R systems, electrical repair, and troubleshooting techniques.
OSHA 10-Hour Certification is desirable.
