Job Description

You will be the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for our facilities team. Our team is responsible for performing routine repairs and maintenance on plant and office facilities to ensure they run smoothly and efficiently.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our facilities through routine repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Your responsibilities will include:
• Performing basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical tasks
• Troubleshooting equipment and facilities problems and reporting to your supervisor
• Interpreting blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications
• Conducting routine inspections to determine necessary repair and maintenance work
• Performing scheduled operations such as oiling and greasing equipment

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN – This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.


Basic Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years practical experience working in facilities in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to weld/welding experience.
Basic computer skills.
Must have ability to obtain a security clearance.
Must possess valid Drivers License
High School Diploma or GED

Strong communication skills
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Willing to work in a shop/industrial environment (30 degrees to 120 degrees)
Must posses good safety record
Ranks high in customer satisfaction
Willing to work overtime when needed
Ability to lift 30 pounds with ease

Ability to work remotely

The work associated with this position will be performed at the designated Lockheed Martin facility. Situational telecommuting may be considered and authorized at the discretion of your leader and based upon the role.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
