Job Overview:

NOW HIRING: INDUSTRIAL MACHINIST (CNC + MANUAL) – 2ND SHIFT (+$5/HR SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL)

Location: 531 Old Swede Road – Douglassville, PA 19518
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 1:30PM–10:00PM | Full-time on-site
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate up to $34/hour based on experience, skills, and market data—top-of-range compensation is reserved for candidates who demonstrate strong, job-relevant experience and independent setup capability + $5/hour shift differential

If you're a machinist who can move between CNC and manual equipment, understand setups, hold tight tolerances, and take ownership of part quality—this role will feel like a natural fit.

At American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO), we’re looking for a Machinist who can support both CNC and manual machining operations in a custom manufacturing environment where precision, craftsmanship, and problem-solving matter.

This is not a button-pushing role—this is machining with real ownership.

You won’t get lost here—your work will be seen, and it will matter.

What This Role Really Is

This is a machining role that combines both CNC and manual machining responsibilities. Depending on production needs, you'll set up and operate CNC equipment, run manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and boring mills, and support the production of custom, low-volume components. This is not a high-volume production environment. Success requires strong machining fundamentals, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a variety of part configurations and machining challenges.

Who Thrives Here (and Who Doesn’t)

You'll do well here if you:

  • Understand machining fundamentals beyond simply running production parts
  • Have experience with both CNC and manual machining operations
  • Take ownership of part quality and machining accuracy
  • Enjoy custom work and solving unique manufacturing challenges
  • Can read blueprints and independently determine machining approaches
  • Are comfortable making setup changes and process adjustments

This role is likely not a fit if you:

  • Only have experience loading parts and pressing cycle start
  • Prefer repetitive, high-volume production machining
  • Avoid troubleshooting or setup responsibilities
  • Have little interest in manual machining operations

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

  • Learn ACECO machining standards, workflows, and safety expectations
  • Independently set up and run CNC machines on assigned jobs
  • Make adjustments to maintain tolerances and improve quality
  • Produce parts with minimal rework or scrap
  • Build trust with team through consistency and ownership
