Job Overview:

 

Title: Industrial Lab Technician
Location:  Russellville, AR

Salary: $54,400.00 - $60,000.00
Schedule: 4/10 or 5/8 schedule available
 

Focus: The Industrial Lab Technician supports our electrode coatings unit. The role is responsible for analytical testing, data collection and analysis, equipment calibration along with providing operational support as needed. The role also works closely with our R&D group for new coating development. 

Industrial Lab Technician Essential Job Functions:

  • Coating solution analysis and preparation. 
  • Final product quality analysis.
  • Receive and unload bulk shipments of raw materials (fork truck operations and hazardous/non-hazardous bulk tanker unloading. 
  • Initiate and participate in issuing safe work permits, clearing and isolating systems to be worked on and root cause investigations. 
  • Work closely with operations personnel to monitor process conditions, equipment, and control systems to ensure product quality. 
  • Record data, observations, and conclusions in spreadsheets and databases.
     

Industrial Lab Technician Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree* with 16 hours of college Chemistry or equivalent.
    • Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Must be able to digest and disseminate written information and make numerical calculations sufficiently well to perform assigned general and specific duties and responsibilities. 
  • Must have intermediate computer skills including Word and Excel; SAP knowledge is a plus. 
  • Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; creative problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.   
  • Ability to work all applicable shifts (including weekends and holidays), overtime, and call-ins when support is needed.
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred. 
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
