Job Overview:

I&C Technicians / Electricians – Industrial Construction Project

• Location: Spring Hill, FL

• Project Duration: Long term project

• Pay Rate: Electricians - $28 to $32/hr / I&C Technicians - $32 to $36/hr.

• Shift: Daylight - 6:30am to 6:30pm / Night shift - 6:30pm to 6:30am - 12hr shifts

• Schedule: Monday – Saturday - Until the project is caught up to speed, most teams will be working 60 hours a week.

We are seeking multiple experienced **Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technicians and Industrial Electricians **to support the construction of a large industrial water treatment facility in Spring Hill, Florida. This long-term opportunity offers steady work, significant overtime, and the chance to work on a major industrial infrastructure project. We are seeking individuals that possess strong electrical, controls, and instrumentation troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment.

Position Overview

The Electricians & I&C Technicians will install, wire, troubleshoot, inspect, test, maintain, and support electrical, instrumentation, and automated control systems throughout an active industrial construction project. These positions work with power distribution, control systems, instrumentation, motors, and process equipment while ensuring installations meet project specifications and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, mechanical drawings, and P&IDs.
  • Install, bend, fabricate, and secure electrical conduit.
  • Pull, terminate, label, and test electrical wiring and cable.
  • Wire junction boxes, control panels, MCCs, motors, instruments, and field devices.
  • Install and terminate instrumentation, sensors, transmitters, control valves, and related equipment.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting on motors, VFDs, MCCs, control circuits, and industrial electrical systems.
  • Assist with PLC and HMI troubleshooting and support automated control systems.
  • Perform continuity, insulation resistance (Megger), and ground fault testing.
  • Calibrate instrumentation, transmitters, and valve positioners as required.
  • Assemble and wire electrical components including terminal strips, Panduit, heat tracing, and associated electrical hardware.
  • Print and install wire labels according to project specifications.
  • Verify proper operation of electrical and control systems during installation and commissioning.
  • Complete maintenance, testing, calibration, and service documentation.
  • Support electrical modifications, repairs, and commissioning activities.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Follow all project safety procedures and site requirements.

Qualifications

  • Previous industrial electrical and/or instrumentation & controls experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs.
  • Experience working with industrial motors, MCCs, VFDs, electrical panels, and control systems.
  • Experience installing or troubleshooting industrial instrumentation and controls is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of low- and high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, process controls, and automated equipment is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality workmanship.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in an active industrial construction environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime as project demands require.
