Facilities Maintenance Mechanic
We are looking for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of HVAC, utility, and facility systems in a large manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently, identify potential problems before they become major issues, and take initiative to keep equipment operating efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility and utility equipment.
- Work outdoors and on rooftops regularly to maintain and inspect equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC units, cooling towers, exhaust fans, heaters, air handlers, chillers, and air dryers.
- Maintain large industrial vacuum systems and vacuum pumps.
- Identify and address developing equipment issues before they result in major failures or downtime.
- Perform soldering, threading, pipefitting, and related piping work.
- Complete preventative maintenance and routine equipment checks.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance leads and supervision regarding equipment conditions and repair needs.
- Work independently while prioritizing tasks and identifying additional opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- EPA Universal Certification required.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and work on HVAC and facility equipment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with industrial facility systems.
- Experience with pipefitting, threading, and soldering.
- Ability to work safely on rooftops and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
