Description

Job Purpose

      Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce machine downtime, and reduce costs. This includes root cause analysis, troubleshooting, process optimization, process documentation, quality control, project management, process automation and quality assurance. Responsible for creating business cases and ROI for Capital Expenditure project associated with cost savings efforts, growth, or maintenance of business.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Troubleshoot problems and establish root cause analysis to develop the implementation of corrective actions
  • Develop and implement manufacturing process standards and best practices
  • Develop procedures and methods to improve safety, mixing, setup, clean-up, and material handling
  • Provide technical and engineering support to manufacturing operations
  • Develop, optimize and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes, technologies and equipment.
  • Monitor and analyze process data, identifying trends and proposing solutions for process improvement
  • Collaborate with cost accounting to provide optimized standards throughout all processes
  • Perform process capability studies, statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making to achieve operational excellence to meet production goals
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements in all process engineering activities

Qualifications


Qualifications

 

  • Education: Engineering background and degree preferred;
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing/ quality control/assurance, Lean processes
  • Courses/Certifications/Training: Six Sigma, Lean, Process/ people management
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external discussions
  • Characteristics required: Must be able to work in cross functional team environment, interact with manufacturing process teams as well as customers.
